What is involved in an eye exam?
During a full eye exam, I assess your entire visual system including your binocular vision status, refractive error, and interior and exterior health of your eyes. All findings are carefully analyzed and interpreted. When indicated, a unique prescription that corrects your refractive error is provided to you. Please call today to schedule an appointment.
Why should a healthy person routinely get his or her eyes examined?
Countless eye conditions exist, and your eyes could be affected by one or more of these. Typically, the earlier a given diagnosis is made, the earlier treatment can be started, and the better the outcome from that treatment will be. Routine eye exams are a very important aspect of your health care!
How often should I be getting an eye exam?
– those under 20 years of age: once a year
– those 65 years of age and older: once a year
– those between 20 and 64 years of age: typically once every 2 years, however there are those within this age group for which once a year is indicated.
